4 More Xbox Game Pass Games Confirmed for Later in 2025

Microsoft has recently confirmed ten new games for Xbox Game Pass, and four of them will be available late in 2025. These new announcements were part of the ID@Xbox Showcase, which focuses on exciting indie games coming to Xbox Game Pass.

Like 2024, 2025 is set to be an incredible year for Xbox Game Pass subscribers, offering many day one releases. In the first two months of the year, subscribers had access to first-party titles such as Obsidian Entertainment’s Avowed, as well as third-party games like Eternal Strands and Citizen Sleeper 2. However, the future holds even more exciting day one releases for fans, such as Doom: The Dark Ages, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33, South of Midnight, and Atomfall.

During the recent ID@Xbox Showcase, Microsoft confirmed ten day one games coming to Xbox Game Pass this year. From these titles, Moonlighter 2: The Endless Vault, Tanuki Pon’s Summer, Buckshot Roulette, and Echo Weaver still do not have release dates, and are expected to be out late in 2025. Moonlighter 2 is the sequel to the original Moonlighter, an action RPG focused on the adventures of a shopkeeper which was originally released for PC in 2018. Tanuki Pon’s Summer is a cozy title in which the gamer plays as a lazy Tanuki who works part-time at the Post Office and has to deliver packages while befriending the locals. Already available on Steam, Buckshot Roulette is a popular indie hit with unique aesthetics that allows gamers to play Russian roulette with a 12-gauge shotgun. Finally, Echo Weaver is a Metroidvania set in a ruined society trapped in a glitching time loop.

Before they can play these titles, Xbox Game Pass subscribers will have access to other indie games. During the showcase, 33 Immortals’ release date was set for March 18, and three games were confirmed for Game Pass in April 2025: Descenders Next, Blue Prince, and Tempopo. May 8 will also see the release of the third-person shooter Revenge of the Savage Planet.

One of the main surprises of the ID@Xbox Showcase, however, was the popular deckbuilder Balatro being shadow-dropped for Xbox Game Pass. Balatro became widely popular in 2024, selling millions of units and being nominated as Game of the Year at The Game Awards. While the title lost the prize to Astro Bot, it was still one of the most noteworthy indie games released last year. Hopefully, the indie games confirmed during the show will be only a few of the many exciting titles coming to Game Pass in 2025.
