Stephen Colbert discovers a hidden message in Taylor Swift’s Harris endorsement
Stephen Colbert gave his live reaction to the Harris-Trump debate on Tuesday, but the event is clearly still the main thing on his mind.
In the clip above he goes back over some of the key points before turning his attention to Taylor Swift’s post-debate endorsement of Kamala Harris, which the host is convinced must contain an Easter egg of some sort — as is often the way with Swift’s posts.
“Kamala Harris has 12 letters, which is one less than 13, which is Taylor’s favourite number,” says Colbert, deep in thought. “So take away the one, er, okay Taylor Swift has a song called “The One”, off her album Folklore, which is produced by Jack Antonoff. Off, “I’m Off the Deep End, “Shallow”, Lady Gaga, Joker 2, two is more than one, Taylor Swift has a song called “The One”, who won the debate last night? Kamala Harris. Oh my God she’s voting for Kamala Harris!”
He’s on to something there.
