‘A Man on the Inside’ trailer: Mike Schur and Ted Danson reunite for an undercover comedy

A Man on the Inside, the latest sitcom from The Good Place creator and Parks and Recreation and Brooklyn Nine-Nine co-creator Mike Schur, is coming soon to Netflix.

The series stars The Good Place‘s Ted Danson as Charles, a retired college professor whose daughter (Mary Elizabeth Ellis, It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia) encourages him to find something that excites him. That “something” turns out to be going undercover in a retirement home to help a private investigator (Lilah Richcreek Estrada) find a stolen family heirloom for a client.

But Danson isn’t the only Schur mainstay in A Man on the Inside‘s cast, which includes Stephanie Beatriz (Brooklyn Nine-Nine, Encanto), Marc Evan Jackson (The Good Place, Brooklyn Nine-Nine), Eugene Cordero (The Good Place, Loki), and Jama Williamson (The Good Place, Parks and Recreation). Also in the cast are Stephen McKinley Henderson (Civil War, Dune), Sally Struthers (All in the Family, Gilmore Girls), Margaret Avery (Steven Spielberg’s The Color Purple), John Getz (The Fly, Blood Simple), Susan Ruttan (L.A. Law), Lori Tan Chinn (Orange Is the New Black, Turning Red), and Clyde Kusatsu (Paradise Road, Blue Eye Samurai).

A Man on the Inside premieres Nov. 21 on Netflix.
