Ninja Launches Branded ‘Fortnite’ Map in Gamefam’s ‘Infinite Zonewars’
Gamer and streaming star Tyler “Ninja” Blevins will launch his first branded “Fortnite” map Tuesday through Gamefam‘s “Infinite Zonewars.”
The partnership with Gamefam’s battle-royale style game, which has seen 1.2 million lifetime players since launch, will mark the only active “Fortnite” game featuring Ninja
Ninja’s resurgence on “Fortnite” comes on the heels of Disney’s $1.5 billion investment in the platform, and at a time when many creators are exploring ways to monetize their brands beyond their existing content with entertainment deals and media partnerships.
The event will include these branded elements in collaboration with Ninja, per Gamefam:
- Ninja Voiceover: Exclusive in-game commentary by Ninja to celebrate achieving scorestreaks.
- Ninja-Themed Vaults: Access to Ninja’s favorite in-game items.
- Favorite Points of Interest (POIs): Incorporation of Ninja’s favorite locations from Fortnite’s history.
- Ninja Takeover Lobby: A Ninja-themed starting area.
- New UI: Custom Ninja-themed heads-up display and user interface.
- Ninja Skin: New Ninja Icon Skin in the lobby
Ninja, who boasts 19 million Twitch followers and 24 million YouTube subscribers, will livestream himself playing the new branded “Fortnite” map and communicating with fans during its launch Tuesday.
“After looking at the work Gamefam has done across UEFN it was a no-brainer for me,” Ninja said. “I want to dip my toes into creating maps with the best out there and I think we have something special here. They really understood what I wanted to do and now all my fans can come challenge me. I know I’ve mostly stepped away from building but playing this map has been really fun and challenging for me at the same time.”
Ninja says the map “offers my fans a chance to play against me, while building which is something I rarely do nowadays since Zero Build came out.” “I think we really have an awesome map with some fun twists as well,” he added. “All players will have the chance to be the first to reach the rank of Ninja Master and win 50,000 V-Bucks… they gotta be in it to win it! I can’t wait!”
Ninja is repped by CAA and Loeb & Loeb.
