Katherine Renee Kane will leave the cast of “FBI” after appearing in at least one episode of its upcoming seventh season.

Kane plays special agent Tiffany Wallace, who is described as the “smart and outspoken” partner of special agent Stuart Scola (John Boyd) and worked with the New York Police Department for six years before starting at the FBI.

Kane joined “FBI” in 2020, during its third season and following the exit of Ebonee Noel, who played special agent and intelligence analyst Kristen Chazal. The news of Kane’s exit follows the casting of Lisette Olivera in Season 7 as a behavioral analysis unit agent named Syd.

“FBI” follows the investigations of a group of special agents who work in a New York City office of the bureau. Along with Boyd and Olivera, the cast includes Missy Peregrym as Maggie Bell, Zeeko Zaki as Omar Adom “OA” Zidan, Alana De La Garza as Isobel Castille and Jeremy Sisto as Jubal Valentine. The series premiered in 2018 and is the flagship of the “FBI” franchise, while spinoffs “FBI: Most Wanted” and “FBI: International” launched in 2020 and 2021, respectively. All three series were renewed by CBS earlier this year, with “FBI” scoring a three-season renewal; new seasons of each will premiere on CBS on Oct. 15.

Dick Wolf created “FBI” and serves as executive producer along with Mike Weiss, Alex Chapple, Amanda Slater, Rick Eid and Peter Jankowski. Wolf Entertainment and Universal Television produce in association with CBS Studios.

Deadline was first to report Kane’s exit.
