Marvel Rivals has enjoyed immense success since it launched, setting impressive player milestones and managing to hold on to a passionate fan base thanks in large part to seasonal updates, new content, and limited time events.
Prior to the launch of Season 1, Marvel Rivals added a Winter Celebration event for a limited time. In it, players could play a Splatoon-inspired event called Jeff’s Winter Splash Festival, a 4v4 mode where teams attempted to cover more of the map in their color. Alongside other winter-themed cosmetics, players could also earn a special skin for the fan-favorite shark character just by playing and earning currency. Ultimately, the limited-time event proved to be a big hit with fans, who didn’t have to wait long for another one to arrive.
