Marvel Rivals: Heroes Who Should Always Be On The Same Team
Summary
Table of Contents
- Key to Marvel Rivals is team composition with Team-Up combos for strategic advantage.
- Certain heroes have specialized combos, like Luna Snow & Namor for enhanced healing and damage.
- Combining heroes like Hulk & Doctor Strange or Venom & Peni Parker can create powerful synergies.
A key part of Marvel Rivals is team composition, given that it is a team-based hero shooter. A bad team comp can feel rough, especially when not running the standard 2/2/2 Vanguard/Duelist/Strategist breakdown. To help with this, NetEase encourages players to pick certain combinations through the Team-Up abilities in the game which are only active when certain heroes are on the same team.

From simple duos like Spider-Man and Venom to teams such as The Avengers, Marvel Rivals is filled to the brim with possible teams from the comics.
This list looks at duos that are perfectly suited to be on the same team, explaining their Team-Up combos and their strengths when combined. If a player is ever in doubt about which hero to pick, this list can help to suggest the best ways to back up the teammates who have already locked in their heroes.
7
Invisible Woman & Mr. Fantastic
Family Bonding
The latest additions to the Marvel Rivals roster, Invisible Woman and Mister Fantastic are the start of the Fantastic 4’s release into the game. On her own, Invisible Woman is a powerful strategist, able to evade enemies and heal allies with ease, and her ultimate can lock down an objective in an instant. Mister Fantastic is a duelist who uses his elastic body to tank damage and hit hard.
When both are on a team they get the ability Fantasti-Force, which gives Invisible Woman a passive 15% healing bonus, and Mister Fantastic gets access to damage resistance and the Married Harmony ability that continuously generates bonus health. This not only helps Mister Fantastic stay alive but also allows Invisible Woman to more effectively heal the entire team, which can make a huge difference to a final push for the objective.
6
Luna Snow & Namor
An Ice Cold Combo
Luna Snow is a fun hero who can put out massive healing, and hold an objective with ease when using her ultimate, and Namor is a duelist who harnesses the powers of the sea to summon ocean creatures to damage the enemy team. Individually, they can each carry a team, especially Luna Snow with her ability to freeze enemies and keep allies from harm.

Marvel Rivals: Best Teammates for Luna Snow
Luna Snow is one of the strongest Strategists in Marvel Rivals, and these are the best heroes to play alongside her and enhance her skills.
When teamed up Luna Snow gets a 15% passive healing bonus, making her abilities even more potent, and Namor gets the ability to summon icey Monstro spawn, which can slow enemies in addition to dealing their regular damage. This ability is incredibly frustrating to deal with, making the enemy team struggle to get back onto the point thanks to the constant slowing shots, and any bonus to Luna Snow’s healing is an instant power boost that is unbeatable.
5
Hulk & Doctor Strange
Radiated Rage
The first of the Vanguard-specific team-ups, Hulk and Doctor Strange, make for a great frontline that can be incredibly difficult to crack through. Hulk is already a powerful tank, able to withstand an incredible beating and stay in the fight, and Doctor Strange has powerful utility abilities and can take the enemy team by surprise with his portals.
When these two are on the same team, Hero Hulk and Monster Hulk both get a 150 health bonus, making them even tankier, and Doctor Strange gets a power boost to his Maelstrom of Madness. The gamma boost that Hulk provides Doctor Strange gives his E ability an extra 2 meters of range and causes it to deal increased damage with each stack of dark magic that Strange has built up. If a player is ever in need of a good tank, either of these heroes will serve them well. Together, they are simply more powerful.
4
Venom & Peni Parker
Symbiotic Synergy
Venom and Peni Parker make up the other Vanguard-based team on this list, once again buffing each other up well while also complementing each other’s playstyles. Venom is a Vanguard that most players will have seen in many games, because he can tank an incredible amount of damage and survive, and Peni Parker is the best tank for area denial and zone capturing. Thanks to her spider nest, she can help herself over time, and her mines are surprisingly deadly.
When taken together, Venom gets a 150 health boost, making him even more difficult to deal with, and Peni gets access to the ability Armor Expulsion, which deals damage over time and gives her a 50% damage resistance. Venom is a tank that wants the player to constantly dive into the enemy team, dealing large amounts of damage and keeping their attention firmly on him, whereas Peni thrives in mid-range engagements and holding points, backing Venom up from a distance.
3
Hela & Loki
Death Defying
The gods of Asgard each inhabit a different role, with Thor as a Vanguard, Hela as a Duelist, and Loki as a Strategist, and together all three have a team-up ability that allows for Thor and Loki to be revived automatically upon Hela getting a kill while they are dead. For her part in this combo, Hela gets a 15% damage bonus, which can make her impossible to fight against as an enemy Duelist.

Marvel Rivals: Every Villain In The Game, Ranked
Marvel Rivals currently features 33 characters for players to choose from; here is how the villains of the line-up compare to one another.
The reason Loki and Hela have made this list is purely because their playstyles complement each other well, Hela keeping to the edge of the fight to pick enemies off, while Loki can support her with healing and extra chip damage. While Loki is not the easiest Strategist to play, if a player’s team has a Hela, then it is well worth picking him for the boosts they give each other, as well as the fun voice lines the two have between each other.
2
Moon Knight & Cloak & Dagger
The Moon Lights Up The Dark
Moon Knight has become the bane of many Marvel Rivals players’ games. His ankhs are powerful tools for area denial, as well as making his ricocheting shots absolutely lethal, and he thrives as a flanking assassin who can very quickly burst down the enemy healers. Cloak & Dagger are a unique hero, able to swap between the two on the fly to go between damage and healing, and are able to put out a huge amount of both throughout the game. Cloak & Dagger synergize with Moon Knight’s playstyle well thanks to their ability to heal from a considerable distance.
The passive 15% healing boost Cloak & Dagger gets when the team has a Moon Knight on it is a potent buff that can be the difference between life and death, and the cloaking ability Moon Knight is granted makes him even more difficult to deal with. Together, this duo (or trio) is scary to face thanks to their lethality and survivability.
1
Scarlet Witch & Magneto
Magnetic Mayhem
The final combo on the list is arguably the most potent, and largely under-utilized by the general player base. Scarlet Witch is a popular, easy-to-use Duelist, thanks to her ability to deal consistently high damage with little input from the player. Magneto is a great Vanguard to pair with this, as he is able to stand in the frontline and mitigate a large amount of damage for both himself and the Scarlet Witch player simultaneously, and both have ultimate abilities that can instantly wipe multiple enemies.
When picked for the same team, Scarlet Witch gets a 10% damage boost, simply further increasing her potential damage output to ludicrous levels. Magneto gets the more entertaining half of this team-up, gaining access to the Metallic Fusion ability, empowering his melee, and allowing him to unleash powerful ranged attacks that each deal 60 damage, tearing through heroes both tanky and squishy. If able to, there really is no reason not to at least try out this combo, as it will serve any player well in any setting.
