Summary

  • New glitch in Warzone lets players use MW3 camos on BO6 weapons.
  • To execute the glitch, the player needs assistance from a friend and must follow specific steps in a private match of Warzone.
  • This is not an official method, which means it could be patched in a future update.

A Call of Duty: Warzone player has discovered a new glitch that allows users to put camos from 2023’s Modern Warfare 3 onto Black Ops 6 weapons, which is something that many players believe should be a standard feature. While Modern Warfare 3‘s weapons are still readily available to use in Call of Duty: Warzone, many of the meta weapons come from Treyarch Studios’ most recent Call of Duty game, Black Ops 6, which means all of those hard-earned camos are now going to waste.

Like many previous Call of Duty titles, players are once again grinding Black Ops 6 for the epic mastery camos up for grabs. Unlike weapon blueprints, camos can be earned without any additional purchases and simply require the player to work their way through some in-game challenges. After racking up one hundred headshots on a plethora of weapons and then earning gold, diamond, and dark spine on practically every weapon in the game, players can finally unlock dark matter. But for players that have already unlocked these coveted mastery camos in Modern Warfare 3, they don’t serve much of a purpose in Warzone following the launch of Black Ops 6. But a new glitch might be about to change that.

Call of Duty: Warzone Player Discovers New Camo Glitch

For players who have earned the many weapon camos available in Modern Warfare 3, there finally appears to be a way to equip them on Black Ops 6 weapons and use them within Warzone. Unfortunately, this is not an official method, which means there’s a strong chance developers Treyarch Studios and Raven Software fix this glitch in a future update. The method comes from Twitter user BSPGamin (and was spotted by Dexerto), who showed off this handy glitch in a short video.

Unfortunately, this method requires a friend for some assistance, which means it can’t be accomplished alone. The first step is to boot up a private match in Warzone, equip a Black Ops 6 weapon in the first loadout slot, and then join a friend’s lobby. After this, equip a Modern Warfare 3 weapon in the first loadout slot and spam select the camo you want to appear on a Black Ops 6 weapon. While spamming the camo selection button, the host must switch to a private match. Once these steps are completed, the friend must back out of the private match and the player needs to go back to the weapon and spam select the camo they want to equip while the friend once again enters a private match. After these steps are completed the camo should be available on the Black Ops 6 weapon.

For those who would rather continue to use Black Ops 6 camos on their weapons in Warzone, but haven’t managed to unlock all of the coveted mastery camos just yet, Treyarch has confirmed it is working on adding a new challenge tracking feature for Black Ops 6. The ability to track challenges in-game was last seen in 2023’s Modern Warfare 3, but fans were left disappointed when it was seemingly absent from the most recent Call of Duty title. Thankfully, the feature will finally return in a future update.
