Since it officially released in December 2024, Marvel Rivals‘ player base has grown by leaps and bounds and quickly established itself in the ever-competitive live-service arena. Marvel Rivals has managed to eclipse longtime contenders like Overwatch 2, overtaking the latter’s Steam player count by a wide margin. The game’s concurrent players on Steam also reached a record peak after Marvel Rivals‘ much-awaited Season 1 kicked off on January 10. Aside from renowned Marvel characters like Iron Man, Spider-Man, and Hulk, the NetEase-developed hero shooter also includes some lesser-known characters from the comic franchise. The clip shows the shark character sleeping peacefully before being awoken by a nightmare. Whether it be the squeaky sounds Jeff the Land Shark makes while dreaming or the way he comically hits the wall and wakes up, the creative player has managed to express the pet-like adorable qualities of the Marvel character in their clip. The post has won over a sizeable group of the game’s fans, boasting over 11,000 upvotes in three days.
