Intergalactic Already Shares Some Similarities With The Last of Us

During The Game Awards 2024, Naughty Dog unveiled Intergalactic: The Heretic Prophet, a PS5-exclusive sci-fi action game and the studio’s first new intellectual property in over a decade. Directed by Neil Druckmann, the game centers on Jordan A. Mun, a bounty hunter stranded on a hostile alien planet in a distant future inspired by 80s sci-fi classics. While the gameplay remains largely under wraps, the reveal trailer highlights melee combat, marking a shift from the studio’s usual third-person shooter focus. Druckmann also confirmed that the game’s narrative will adopt a TV show-like structure, distinguishing it from Naughty Dog’s prior works.
