Days Gone Developer's New Game Leaks Online
A new modern military game from Days Gone developer Bend Studio has recently been leaked online. This new title from Bend Studio will supposedly build upon the elements of Days Gone, specifically the open-world systems. Not much about the game has been leaked other than a couple of screenshots, providing some small insight into some of the game’s possible mechanics, setting, and gameplay details.
Bend Studio is a Sony-owned studio that was first found in 1992, which would go on to develop various games like Bubsy 3D and Syphon Filter. Ever since 2000, the studio has become a subsidiary of Sony, creating smaller games for PlayStation consoles, like Resistance: Retribution for the PlayStation Portable or Uncharted: Golden Abyss for PlayStation Vita. The studio would then make the PS4 exclusive Days Gone, an open-world zombie game. While polarizing upon its original 2019 release, the game has gotten a bit of a resurgence with its port to the PC. While Days Gone is unlikely to get a sequel, Bend Studio is currently hard at work on a new IP, with much excitement being drummed up by the developer and fans. A new leak gives even more insight into what Bend Studio is cooking for its next game.

Rumor: Possible PlayStation Game Awards 2024 Announcement Leaked
A new rumor making the rounds online may leak one of the announcements PlayStation has in store for The Game Awards on Thursday.
A series of images were posted online by an anonymous UI designer (the photos archived by mp1st.com), who allegedly worked at Bend Studio from 2022 until March 2024. These screenshots were of designs and concepts for Bend Studio’s new IP, including menu GUIs, placeholders using assets from Days Gone, and possible sketches for the game’s concept. Based on the images shared, the game appears to be a third-person shooter in an open-world, similar to Bend Studio’s prior game.
Bend Studio’s Next Title Could Be an Open-World Military Live-Service Multiplayer Game
The images themselves aren’t a lot to go off of, aside from the various weapons that can be used, a crafting and XP system, and some basic UI elements. There was also a test picture that had a few things that bring to mind live-service AAA multiplayer games, such as a “Rank” room and a “wardrobe” room, along with a vaguely arena-focused multiplayer setting. There are also polygonal objects that look like they could be used as cover.
Based on the look and feel of these test images, it’s been theorized that Bend Studio’s next game could be a live-service game, with it supposedly being military-themed. One theory floated around is that this could also be a new entry in Bend Studio’s classic Syphon Filter franchise, though these leaks should still be taken with a grain of salt. With The Game Awards just right around the corner, fans could possibly see more about Bend Studio‘s next title sooner rather than later.
