Fortnite Leaker Reveals Details on First Chapter 6 Update
According to HYPEX, who is a prominent leaker in the Fortnite community, Epic Games is gearing up to release the game’s next major update on December 10. While this update will likely include preparations for the upcoming Winterfest event, HYPEX also states that it will bring with it new gameplay and visual bug fixes and Fortnite‘s highly-anticipated first-person 5v5 mode. The mode was leaked shortly after the release of Chapter 6 Season 1, as new game files were added that included details on weapons and a first-person view. Although there has yet to be a reveal by Epic Games, HYPEX claims that the mode could be released with the game’s upcoming update.
Fortnite Chapter 6 Season 1 was, generally, a big hit with players. However, Epic was forced to make some major changes to Fortnite‘s XP rewards earlier this week after massive backlash from the community. Before the release of Fortnite‘s current Chapter, players could jump between the game’s different modes to earn a plethora of XP by completing daily tasks, but Epic opted to change this feature with the game’s big content update, angering fans in the process. It was just one of the many XP changes that resulted in the studio making several adjustments just a few days after the season launched, including increasing Daily Bonus Goal rewards, fixing LEGO Fortnite‘s Quest XP, and more.
But, on the bright side, Chapter 6 Season 1 still has plenty left in store for players. While a new update is seemingly in the works for December 10, fans will soon be able to jump back into Fortnite OG from December 6. After the huge success of the mode last year, Epic is bringing it back as a permanent addition, with rumors suggesting that the OG mode will rotate between Chapter 1 seasons on a monthly basis.
