Tectone Has Resigned from OTK

Twitch streamer Tectone has officially announced his resignation from One True King (OTK), concluding his time with the popular content creation organization. With a following of nearly 970,000 on Twitch, Tectone is widely recognized for his gaming streams featuring titles such as Genshin Impact, Honkai: Star Rail, and Arknights, as well as his engaging Just Chatting sessions.

On November 20, Twitch streamer Tectone found himself at the center of controversy after his ex-partner, Pinkchyu, made allegations of abuse in a series of tweets that did not explicitly name him but sparked widespread speculation. In response, Tectone firmly denied all accusations, describing them as entirely false and fabricated. He emphasized that he had preserved evidence, including text messages and videos, to prove his innocence and expressed full willingness to cooperate with any legal investigation. Additionally, Tectone issued a two-week ultimatum for an apology and retraction, warning of legal action against both his ex-partner and anyone who knowingly spreads what he called “lies with a reckless disregard for the truth.”

Amid the controversy, Tectone’s profile was removed from the OTK website, leading many to assume it was tied to the allegations. However, during a recent stream, Tectone clarified that his exit from Emiru’s co-owned OTK was unrelated to the accusations. He explained that his decision to leave the organization was tied to the expiration of his contract on November 1, 2024, marking the end of a three-year tenure. Tectone shared that he chose not to renew his contract due to the pressure he felt over how his trolling and provocative behavior might negatively affect others within the group. He described this dynamic as a “weakness” he wanted to eliminate.

Another Popular Streamer Leaves OTK

Despite leaving, Twitch personality Tectone expressed his support for OTK members, praising their recent efforts to turn things around. Reflecting on his role as a frequent target of jokes during his tenure, he remarked, “Now they’re going to have to find a new punching bag. Good luck!” It is worth noting that last month also saw fellow streamer Asmongold leave OTK following widespread criticism of his statements regarding the Palestine conflict.

While One True King is often seen signing new faces or witnessing streamers leave voluntarily, the organization is also frequently embroiled in controversies, with last year being particularly tumultuous. For example, BruceDropEmOff alleged that he experienced racial abuse following his departure from the network. Additionally, Twitch streamer Adriana Lee filed a defamation lawsuit against OTK last year, further highlighting the challenges the group has faced in managing its public image.
