Table of Contents
As a young builder in the world of Dreamlit Inc’s Towers of Aghasba, you’ll need tons of resources to complete landmarks and structures. Joining Ajit and Culkin as a junior apprentice is, of course, fun — but it also means you’ll need to gather building materials quickly. One of these important materials is Clay — a terracotta-colored clump that comes from the earth.
Like many items in the game, finding Clay takes time and effort. In addition to locating it, players will need a special tool to collect it. Keep reading this guide to learn how to get Clay in Towers of Aghasba.

Gold Dust and Gold Nugget are easy to get after reaching a certain point in Towers of Aghasba, although players may have to sacrifice their items.
How To Find Clay In Towers Of Aghasba
Clay can be found by harvesting Clay Mounds (large or small piles of clay) near trees and water bodies in Towers of Aghasba. Thankfully, you don’t need to set up an ecosystem to get trees on this withered island. Players just starting out can find plenty of dead plants and trees almost anywhere.
To begin, head to the backside of the first village on Amani Island — you’ll spot a few Clay Mounds near Dead Slim Trees and Dead Pastu Trees there. As you progress further, you’ll find more Clay Mounds along the East Coast and other riversides. When you see a Clay Mound, simply harvest it by pressing the ‘E’ button. Just a quick heads-up: players will need a Stone Shovel to collect Clay from a mound. Luckily, this shovel is one of the easiest tools to make. To craft a Stone Shovel in Towers of Aghasba, you’ll need the following items:
- 2 Stone (break Stone Boulders to get these)
- 3 Stick (you’ll see them lying around)
- 2 Fiber (gathered from bushes)
Once you have your Stone Shovel, you can start collecting Clay. Each mound gives you one to two pieces of Clay, but it might take a few tries to fully harvest it, so stick with it until you get it all. There’s also a rare chance of getting ready-to-use Clay from the ground. Keep in mind that areas around the mounds are often infested with large spiders, so be sure to bring your Wooden Bow. Since Clay Mounds take some time to show up again, grab as much as you can whenever you find one —any extras can be stored in your storage boxes for later use.
How To Use Clay In Towers Of Aghasba
Clay is super handy for making buildings and materials like Compost Sheds and Cob in Towers of Aghasba. Compost Sheds let you turn creature waste into fertilizer to speed up crop growth. Here’s what you need to build the Compost Shed in the game:
- 3 Clay
- 2 Tree Bark (chop trees to get this)
- 5 Thatch (pick bushes for it)
- 10 Dung (feed animals for this)
Cob, on the other hand, is a clump of materials used in construction fill orders. To make Cob, you’ll need these things:
With that in mind, it’s highly crucial to have a good stock of Clay for creating structures quickly.
