Ages, Heights, & Birthdays Of One Piece's Straw Hats
Starting as a humble one-shot called Romance Dawn, Eiichiro Oda’s One Piece is now firmly established as a cornerstone of both the manga and anime industries. Ever since debuting in Weekly Shonen Jump in 1997, the pirate-themed manga has produced more than 1100 chapters and 100 volumes, and Oda is not quite done yet. Sure, One Piece‘s Straw Hats will eventually be part of history, but there is still a way to go before the Thousand Sunny sails into the sunset.
Starting in 1999, Luffy, Zoro, Sanji, Nami, Usopp, Chopper, Robin, Franky, Brook, and Jinbe found themselves starring in a Toei anime adaptation, one that had its 1000th episode in 2021. One Piece is so massive that a new animated series was announced in 2023, despite the original being nowhere near complete. Even more amazingly, Oda’s masterpiece spawned a live-action Netflix series that, somehow, defied expectations and managed to be pretty good. There are even a couple of decent One Piece games, although the franchise has not embraced this medium as successfully as Naruto or Dragon Ball.
The manga, anime, live-action series, and games have one major thing in common: lovable characters. The Straw Hats are iconic as individuals and a unit, and they will be remembered long after Oda puts down his pen. Consequently, fans might want a breakdown of basic information regarding these pirates. They might wish to know how old is Luffy? How tall is Zoro ? Or, when are the birthdays of One Piece‘s main characters?
Updated November 23, 2024 by Mark Sammut: While there are no more Straw Hats to cover, a pirate crew is nothing without their ships. Consequently, special mentions have been added for the Going Merry and Thousand Sunny.

At this point in One Piece, it seems unlikely that the Straw Hats will welcome a new member into the crew, although there is always a chance that Eiichiro Oda will surprise readers. Still, the current lineup could very well be the final one, especially since the crew has no obvious weak points that need to be fixed or blind spots that should be filled. At a push, an argument could be made that the Straw Hats could use some support roles like a blacksmith or a reconnaissance officer, but neither are particularly important nor would they add anything major to the crew.
To make it as simple as possible to read through the Straw Hats’ personal information, the information is included in the following table.
For the characters’ ages and heights, both the pre and post-timeskip information are provided. The first bullet point covers the former while the second point relates to the latter. Luffy
Captain
- Debut Episode: I’m Luffy! The Man Who’s Gonna Be King of the Pirates! (Episode 1)
- Devil Fruit: Gomu Gomu no Mi/Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika
- Current Bounty: 3 Billion Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Mayumi Tanaka
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Colleen Clinkenbeard
One Piece‘s protagonist and the Straw Hats’ charismatic leader, Monkey D. Luffy is a manga and anime icon by this point. With a complex backstory that slowly reveals itself over hundreds of episodes, Luffy’s goofy personality hides a revolutionary figure who can inspire change in not only others but also entire kingdoms.
A force of nature, Straw Hat simply has this innate ability to draw people to him, captivating or infuriating them with his staunch values that pursue freedom and autonomy above everything else. Sure, Luffy regularly states that his goal is to find the One Piece, but that is simply a means to an end. He is driven solely by a desire for adventure, and he has no interest in treasure beyond what it represents.

One Piece: Luffy’s Best Friends, Ranked
Luffy’s journey to become the Pirate King in One Piece is a long one, but having these friends at his back makes it easier.
As a captain, Luffy can be somewhat frustrating, in the sense that he regularly makes decisions that drop his crew in hot water. Due to having a straightforward mentality, a blunt tone, and bouts of just plain stupidity, Luffy’s intelligence can be underestimated; however, he has repeatedly shown a capacity for strategic thought, even if these moments seem to be driven by instinct or happenstance at times.
Luffy’s birthday happens to fall on Children’s Day in Japan, which is almost certainly not a coincidence.
Zoro
First Mate
- Debut Episode: I’m Luffy! The Man Who’s Gonna Be King of the Pirates! (Episode 1)
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Current Bounty: 1,111 Billion Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Kazuya Nakai
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Christopher R. Sabat
Roronoa Zoro is Luffy’s stoic right-hand man, and he always does what’s best for the longevity of the Straw Hat Pirates while looking for his next great battle. The swordsman has a level head compared to Luffy, which could be a product of his age since Zoro is two years older than his captain.
Zoro is vicious in battle, arguably the most out of any Straw Hat barring maybe Nico Robin. Trustworthy in most areas that do not have to do with giving or following directions, Zoro steps up to the plate even in the direst of situations, such as Kuma’s appearance in the Thriller Bark arc. Even though all the Straw Hats are devoted to Luffy, Zoro is arguably the most loyal, and he is willing to do nearly anything his captain asks without question. Along with his battle acumen, which firmly places him as the crew’s second-strongest member, Zoro is the picture of dependency, a (mostly) mature figure who is willing to do the dirty work if the need arises.
Nami
Navigator
- Debut Episode: I’m Luffy! The Man Who’s Gonna Be King of the Pirates! (Episode 1)
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Current Bounty: 366 Million Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Akemi Okamura
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Luci Christian
Introduced very early in the series, Nami is undoubtedly one of the most important members of the Straw Hats, although that is not always apparent since she tends to take a backseat during most fights and arcs. The navigator’s biggest contributions arguably happen off-screen, as she theoretically is in charge of ensuring the Straw Hats get where they need to be. As One Piece does not dedicate too much time to the crew’s open-sea travels between islands, Nami can seem like she does not do much except occasionally smack the boys in the head. Nevertheless, she is a great character in her own right.

One Piece: 17 Times Nami Proved She Isn’t Weak
Nami might not be an expert fighter like others in One Piece, but she is still strong in battle. Here are a few moments that prove it.
While typically accepting a supporting role in most battles, Nami is willing to get her hands dirty if the situation calls for it, and her fights are entertaining and usually rely on tactics rather than brute force. The Clima-Tact is a fun weapon that has received neat upgrades over the years, even if it rarely gets a showcase during arcs. Except for maybe Chopper and Robin, Nami is among the smarter Straw Hat pirates, and she knows how to persevere in the face of tragedy thanks to her background with Arlong.
Ultimately, Nami seems to mostly serve as a voice of reason who can help counter some of Luffy’s dumber ideas, all the while acting as an emotional support and a motherly figure.
Usopp
Sniper
- Debut Episode: I’m Luffy! The Man Who’s Gonna Be King of the Pirates! (Episode 1)
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Current Bounty: 500 Million Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Kappei Yamaguchi
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Sonny Strait
The Straw Hats’ sharpshooter, Usopp has a similar personality to his captain as both characters are energetic, prone to bouts of silliness, hard-headed, and love a good adventure. However, unlike Luffy, Usopp is painfully aware of his mortality at all times, which manifests in a tragic illness that is not taken seriously by his crew mates. Alongside Nami, Usopp typically provides the most vocal resistance to Luffy’s propensity to jump head-first into danger. However, also like Nami, Usopp does not let his fears stop him from helping out and doing the right thing. He might just cry about it for a while.
Although still insecure to an extent, Usopp has grown braver as the years have flown by. He has been through just as much hardship as any of the other Straw Hats, and while he usually does not face off against the crew’s strongest enemies, Usopp has bested his share of heavyweights, to the point of earning a few colorful nicknames.
Out of all the Straw Hats, Usopp is probably the most polarizing with viewers. As humor is naturally subjective, the crew’s most blatant comedy character was always destined to be divisive, especially since his jokes stay mostly the same throughout the show’s run. Still, he has a good rapport with most of the other main characters, particularly Luffy and Nami. Usopp’s “normalcy,” for lack of a better word, helps balance out the rest of the crew, showing that a member can contribute beyond just their combat abilities. Also, just to be clear, Usopp is a fantastic sniper, among the best in One Piece, so it is not like he is useless. His main talent is just very situational.
Sanji
Cook
- Debut Episode: Famous Cook! Sanji of the Sea Restaurant! (Episode 20)
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Current Bounty: 1,032 Billion Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Hiroaki Hirata
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Eric Vale
Introduced in the Baratie Arc, Sanji is a master chef who can more than hold his own in battle. Typically dressed in a suit, the Straw Hats’ cook looks older than he really is, although his immaturity shines through whenever he happens to be around a woman. While he has a petty rivalry with Zoro that frequently manifests in mock fights, Sanji is willing and able to put himself on the line for his crewmates.

One Piece: Sanji’s Best Friends, Ranked
Who are some of Sanji’s best friends that strengthen his resolve and shape his journey in One Piece’s vast and treacherous world?
With Luffy and Zoro, Sanji completes the Straw Hats’ deadly trio, even if he is generally regarded as the weakest of the crew’s strongest members. Despite his tendency to act like an idiot around women, Sanji is intelligent and perceptive, two things he has proven time and again throughout One Piece. The cook’s backstory remained a mystery for roughly 700 episodes, only to be revealed in one of the manga’s most memorable modern arcs. Sanji’s family background is incredibly complicated and goes a long way in explaining some of his behavior.
Tony Tony Chopper
Doctor
- Debut Episode: Are You Happy? the Doctor Called Witch! (Episode 81)
- Devil Fruit: Hito Hito no Mi
- Current Bounty: 1 Thousand Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Ikue Otani
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Brina Palencia
Chopper is a character fans might struggle to guess his age if they tried. How old is Chopper? Well, Chopper is the youngest Straw Hat, and he is periodically treated as such. It is not unusual for Chopper to be babied by characters such as Robin and Zoro. His birthday is December 24th, Christmas Eve, which reflects the cold climate he comes from and the fact that he was originally a reindeer.
Chopper’s small size and gentle appearance are an invitation for enemies to underestimate him, but he’s a fierce fighter when he has to be. However, this Straw Hat’s greatest weapon is his mind, specifically his medical knowledge that has regularly saved the rest of the crew. Every member of the crew is vital in their own right, but the Straw Hats owe their longevity and stable lineup to Chopper’s impeccable skills as a doctor, which regularly comes in handy considering his nakama are known to jump headfirst into battles.
Nico Robin
Archaeologist
- Debut Episode: Deliver Princess Vivi! the Luffy Pirates Set Sail! (Episode 67)
- Devil Fruit: Hana Hana no Mi
- Current Bounty: 930 Million Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Yuriko Yamaguchi
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Stephanie Young
Nico Robin is the cool and collected Straw Hat with a love for “cute things.” When she joined the crew, Robin was a mysterious figure who kept her distance, a decision fueled by her tragic backstory. Her personality is initially hard to pin down, but she opens up after the Enies Lobby arc. Since then, Robin has never wavered in her dedication to Luffy and the Straw Hats, and this commitment seems to grow stronger with each passing arc.
In the post-timeskip arcs, Robin has a habit of fading somewhat into the background. Despite being a very capable fighter in her own right, she rarely gets an opportunity to show her abilities; while frustrating, this aversion to combat does fit the archeologist’s calm nature. If someone angers her enough to push her into action, Robin can be the most brutal member of the Straw Hats, even surpassing Zoro.
Franky
Shipwright
- Debut Episode: Pirate Abduction Incident! a Pirate Ship That Can Only Await Her End! (Episode 233)
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Current Bounty: 394 Million Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Kazuki Yao
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Patrick Seitz
If nothing else, Franky has the most interesting physique out of all the Straw Hats. Before the timeskip, the shipwright looked like the sci-fi lovechild of Johnny Bravo and Popeye; post-timeskip, Franky is more mecha than human. Either way, he has an eye-catching aesthetic.
Related
One Piece: Franky’s Best Friends, Ranked
The cyborg shipwright Franky has made unbreakable bonds throughout One Piece, thanks to his charm and charisma.
Introduced in the Water 7 arc, Franky initially served as an antagonist to the Straw Hats, and he was quite entertaining in this position. He even had his own crew (and a real one too, unlike Usopp), albeit a land-locked one. Joining the Straw Hats as its shipwright, Franky plays a crucial role in guaranteeing the Thousand Sunny stays afloat. While his technical abilities are beyond question, his over-the-top behavior can be slightly off-putting, particularly following his post-timeskip makeover. Still, Franky knows when to turn off the silliness, and he can be the voice of reason in certain situations. Due to being in his mid-30s, he was the oldest member of the crew before Brook and Jinbe’s arrival.
Brook
Musician
- Debut Episode: The Mysterious Skeleton Floating Through the Fog! Venture Into the Devil’s Sea! (Episode 337)
- Devil Fruit: Yomi Yomi no Mi
- Current Bounty: 383 Million Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Cho
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Ian Sinclair
While he technically stopped aging at 38, Brook has been around for way longer than any other Straw Hat. Originally a member of the Rumbar Pirates, the musician was killed alongside his crew; however, his Devil Fruit allowed him to come back as a skeleton. Brook spent roughly 50 years on his own, only breaking his isolation when he stumbled across Luffy.
Bringing song to the Straw Hats’ travels, Brook helps maintain the crew’s spirits while also being a valuable hand in combat situations. Even though he is generally charming and empathetic, the musician also loves his dirty jokes, much to the chagrin of Nami. Compared to the other crew members, Brook can seem like the most disposable Straw Hat since his non-combat contributions largely revolve around entertainment and maintaining morale. Still, he accomplishes both tasks well.
Jinbe
Helmsman
- Debut Episode: A Warlord in Prison! Jimbei, the Honorable Pirate! (Episode 430)
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Current Bounty: 1,100 Billion Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Katsuhisa Hoki
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Daniel Baugh
Jinbe is the newest addition to the Straw Hats who lived during the Golden Age of pirates. He also led the Sun Pirates, basically acting as the king of the Fishman underworld. Because of this, he’s older than the other Straw Hats at 46 years old.

One Piece: 6 Devil Fruits Perfect For Jinbe
While a devil fruit might be detrimental for a Fish man like Jinbe, here are some devil fruits that he could make good use of.
Jinbe’s height is shown to change throughout the manga and anime for scale because if his true height was shown, he might not always fit on the screen. He’s a giant Fishman with the build of a blue whale and a shark. His monstrous size hides his compassionate and gentle side. Every Straw Hat led full lives before joining the crew, but Jinbe takes things a few steps further. Before even meeting Luffy, he was the captain of the Sun Pirates and even a member of the Seven Warlords, and he has quite a lot of influence in his own right. In-universe, Jinbe was a huge get for the Straw Hats, arguably being just as big of a deal as Zoro or Sanji; however, his late addition to the crew means he does not always feel like a full member.
Special Mention: Vivi
Temporary Member
- Debut Episode: The First Line of Defense? the Giant Whale Laboon Appears! (Episode 62)
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Current Bounty: Not Wanted
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Misa Watanabe
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Caitlin Glass
The only princess to become a Straw Hat, Nefertari Vivi was only part of the crew for a very short period, basically joining solely for the Arabasta Saga. Despite her brief stay, Vivi left a long-lasting impression, and she still occasionally makes appearances as a political figure with a global presence. With a strong heart and the will to fight for her people’s freedom, Vivi’s dedication, passion, and bravery constantly shine through her actions, and it is hardly a surprise that she gets along so well with Luffy and company.
Even after splitting from the crew and barely ever interacting with them after that point, Vivi remains oddly in sync with the Straw Hats’ actions, and she has proven time and again to be able to comprehend their motives by just reading about their adventures. Vivi might no longer sail under the crew’s Jolly Roger, but she will always be a Straw Hat.
Special Mention: Zeus
Nami’s Partner
- Debut Episode: Totto Land! Emperor Big Mom Appears! (Episode 786)
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Current Bounty: Not Wanted
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Yu Mizushima
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Kevin D. Thelwell
Describing Zeus as a member of the Straw Hats is a bit of a stretch, but the anthropomorphic cloud does have a fully fleshed-out personality and actively assists the crew, specifically Nami. Originally belonging to Big Mom, Zeus was among the Emperor’s most powerful weapons, and he was generally committed to serving his master.
However, Zeus eventually fell under Nami’s control, who found the cloud was a perfect match for her weather-themed abilities. Initially, Nami essentially held Zeus captive, terrifying him into obedience in a way only the Navigator could; in time, this dynamic changed to genuine friendship as the cloud actively sought to become the navigator’s partner.
Special Mention: Going Merry
The Original Straw Hat Ship And A Beloved Nakama
- Debut Episode: “Anger Explosion! Kuro Vs. Luffy! How It Ends!” (Episode 17)
Naturally, ships cannot be considered characters by any stretch of the imagination, but they are nevertheless a crucial part of a pirate crew’s identity. More so than most vessels, the Going Merry is treated like an honorary nakama by the Straw Hats, particularly during its final days and the ensuing Enies Lobby saga. While not around from the very start, this ship debuted during the Syrup Village Arc, being given as a present to both Luffy and Usopp.

One Piece: Famous Last Words Of Characters, Ranked
As One Piece enters its final arc, some memorable characters leave an indelible mark with their final words.
The Going Merry stuck around for roughly 300 episodes, carrying the crew from East Blue to the Grand Line, and then even going up to the heavens by visiting Skypiea. Unfortunately, it started to fall apart when the Straw Hats reached Water 7, leading to a big blow-off between Usopp and Luffy as they could not see eye-to-eye on how to handle the Going Merry’s decline. Despite sounding very silly on paper, Going Merry’s final posthumous appearance is one of the most iconic in One Piece.
Special Mention: Thousand Sunny
The Ultimate Ship For The Straw Hats
- Debut Episode: “The King of Animals That Overlooks the Sea! The Dream Ship Magnificently Completed!” (Episode 31)
After the Going Merry was retired, the Straw Hats needed a new ship that could carry them forward, which resulted in the creation of the Thousand Sunny. While sharing some similarities with its predecessor, the new vessel came with a notable size upgrade, along with quite a few surprises that took advantage of Franky’s skills.
The Thousand Sunny was created by some of the finest shipwrights in One Piece, and they put all their energy, expertise, and passion into crafting a masterpiece. At this point, the Straw Hats are unlikely to receive a new ship, so the Thousand Sunny will likely be around until the story’s conclusion.
Straw Hat Grand Fleet
Seven Crews Who Support Luffy’s Goal
Introduced during the Dressrosa arc, the Straw Hat Grand Fleet refers to pirate crews that have pledged allegiance to Luffy. Although not quite as powerful as the Straw Hats themselves, these crews can hold their own against most opponents, and they are all led by capable captains. Since the end of their introductory arc, the Grand Fleet has mostly slipped into the background, although they are supposedly supporting the Straw Hats from a distance. They will likely play a bigger role during the story’s endgame, as otherwise they would be kind of pointless.
Here is a rundown of every crew that is part of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet, along with sections dedicated specifically to the captains:

One Piece: Every Pirate Crew Part Of The Straw Hat Grand Fleet
The Straw Hat crew got bigger with the formation of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet. Here’s every crew currently sailing under Luffy’s flag.
Bartolomeo (Barto Club)
- Debut Episode: A Formidable, Unknown Warrior! Here Comes Lucy! (Episode 633)
- Devil Fruit: Bari Bari no Mi
- Current Bounty: 200 Million Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Showtaro Morikubo
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Tyson Rinehart
The ultimate Straw Hat fanboy, Bartolomeo has idealized Luffy ever since he saw the Straw Hat escape an execution with a smile on his face. Goofy as he can be at times, the Barto Club captain should not be underestimated, and he knows how to make good use of his Bari Bari no Mi Devil Fruit. Out of all the Grand Fleet leaders, Bartolomeo is arguably the most popular, to the point that he got to star in the Silver Mine Arc, an anime-only filler storyline set between Dressrosa and Zou.
Similar to Cavendish, Bartolomeo’s (canon) presence following Dressrosa mostly consisted of a showcase in a cover story called “The Stories of the Self-Proclaimed Straw Hat Grand Fleet,” which started with chapter 864 and lasted for 46 entries. These short snippets cover small storylines revolving around the Grand Fleet, and they have mostly not been referenced by the anime, so fans will need to check out the manga to get their fill.
Cavendish (Beautiful Pirates)
- Debut Episode: A Dangerous Love! The Dancer Girl – Violet! (Episode 632)
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Current Bounty: 330 Million Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Akira Ishida
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Matt Shipman
A prince of the Bourgeois Kingdom, Cavendish initially hated Luffy since he yearned to be the center of attention, an achievement rendered nearly impossible when the Straw Hat captain is around. However, Cavendish gradually changed his tune as he witnessed Luffy and the rest of his crew fight against Doflamingo. While a gifted swordsman by any standard, Cavendish is far more dangerous when he falls asleep since this permits his alternate ego, the brutal Hakuba, to come out.
A common theme of the Straw Hat Grand Fleet crews is that they mostly disappear from the story following the end of the Dressrosa Arc, a fate exemplified by Cavendish and the Beautiful Pirates. While receiving a couple of spotlights, he has been mostly a non-factor since his introductory saga, and his purpose nowadays seems to be to highlight the Straw Hat’s growing reach and power. That said, one has to assume that the Grand Fleet will eventually be called back into action as One Piece enters its final chapters.
Sai (Happo Navy)
- Debut Episode: A Dangerous Love! The Dancer Girl – Violet! (Episode 632)
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Current Bounty: 210 Million Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Koichi Hashimoto
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Kyle Igneczi
Another fighter who met Luffy during the Corrida Colosseum storyline, Sai is prone to the occasional outburst, although he has a moral and ethical code that he lives by. Sai is the leader of the Happo Navy, a role he filled after the retirement of his grandfather, Chinjao. Sai pledges allegiance to Luffy following the events of Dressrosa, and while he has not appeared much since that storyline, he did show up during the Levely Arc.

These Straw Hats will unlock haki in the One Piece’s final saga.
Nowadays, Sai mostly seems to be a package deal with Baby 5, who used to be part of the Donquixote Pirates. The latter fell in love with the former during Dressrosa, and they ultimately got married. Although ultimately an insignificant part of the anime, this was still kind of charming and gave the characters something to do.
Ideo (Ideo Pirates)
- Debut Episode: A Formidable, Unknown Warrior! Here Comes Lucy! (Episode 633)
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Current Bounty: Unknown
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Masaki Aizawa
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Eric Rolon
A capable fighter, Ideo fought in the Corrida Colosseum alongside Luffy and Cavendish. Constantly seeking to push himself to new heights, the pirate values honor and respect. He showcases this mentality when he decides to repay the Straw Hats for freeing him from Sugar’s control by fighting with them rather than trying to cash in on their bounties.
Ideo has mostly slipped into the backdrop since Dressrosa, barely ever featuring again in the anime. He has a fairly unique fighting style and code of conduct, so it would be great if he appears again in the future, even if it is just for a quick minor fight that lasts an episode.
Hajrudin (New Giant Warrior Pirates)
- Debut Episode: The Fighting Fish Strike! Across the Deadly Iron Bridge! (Episode 639)
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Current Bounty: Unknown
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Tsuyoshi Koyama
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Randy E. Aguebor/Chris Guerrero
A prideful giant, Hajrudin has no qualms bragging about his physical prowess or bowing his head to pirates he respects. Formerly a member of Buggy’s Delivery, Hajrudin opted to join the Straw Hat Grand Fleet to show his gratitude to Luffy and, to a lesser extent, Usopp.
Demonstrating self-reflection and a desire to leave a positive impact on his race’s future, Hajrudin has worked diligently to revive the Giant Warrior Pirates, a process that has been slow but not without success. As with the rest of the leaders, this character has not really appeared in the anime since Dressrosa, although that will hopefully change in time.
Leo (Tontatta Pirates)
- Debut Episode: Explore! Fairies’ Island – Green Bit! (Episode 640)
- Devil Fruit: Nui Nui no Mi
- Current Bounty: Unknown
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Kurumi Mamiya
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Rachel Glass
A respected officer of the Tontatta Kingdom, Leo was a prominent figure in the tribe’s plan to seize Dressrosa from Doflamingo’s grasp. Eventually, he accomplished this goal, although he received some help from Luffy, Usopp, and the remaining Straw Hats. While a bit on the gullible side, Leo is a devoted warrior with a useful Devil Fruit.
Compared to other Grand Fleet key personnel, Leo has appeared more regularly than most, although he is still just a very minor player in the grand scheme of things. Still, Leo is a strong support of Luffy and the Straw Hats, and he should have a role to play in the future.
Orlumbus (Yonta Maria Grand Fleet)
- Debut Episode: A Dangerous Love! The Dancer Girl – Violet! (Episode 632)
- Devil Fruit: N/A
- Current Bounty: 148 Million Berries
- Anime Voice Actor (Japanese): Jiro Saito
- Anime Voice Actor (English): Brandon Potter
Out of all the Straw Hat Grand Fleet’s captains, One Piece has paid the least attention to Orlumbus. Still, the admiral has proven to be boastful, loyal, smart, and honorable. He also has a big heart, as made evident by the manga’s The Stories of the Self-Proclaimed Straw Hat Grand Fleet.
Orlumbus arguably got the least attention from all the Grand Fleet leaders, but he is still a well-defined character who played his part in freeing Dressroa from Doflamingo’s control.
