IShowSpeed Thinks He Can Beat Jake Paul in a Boxing Match
Key Takeaways
- IShowSpeed alleges that he could beat Jake Paul by knockout.
- Jake Paul’s camp responds with a $20 million offer if IShowSpeed follows through and defeats him in a match.
- Despite mixed reactions from fans, an IShowSpeed vs. Jake Paul match could draw massive attention due to their popularity.
Popular YouTube streamer and content creator IShowSpeed is claiming that he’d be able to take on Jake Paul in a boxing match and win, which has led to a variety of strong reactions from people online. Speed was asked during a recent interview what his thoughts were on the highly-publicized Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson fight that took place recently, with the confident YouTube streamer replying with little hesitation that he “can beat Jake Paul” in a fight, leading to a response from Paul’s camp and Jake Paul himself.
The extremely hyped-up fight between YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul and legendary boxer Mike Tyson took place on November 15, 2024, after months of build-up, trash talking from both sides, and significant delays. While the undercard was deemed exciting enough, many fans were left feeling disappointed after the main event, with no knockout nor particularly visible flashes of vintage Mike Tyson. After Paul was unanimously declared the winner, the current boxing light-heavyweight world champion has called out Paul to a fight. Given Jake Paul’s history of opponent choices, a match between him and IShowSpeed seems a bit more likely.

Speaking on stage at ComplexCon, IShowSpeed spoke about Paul’s fighting prowess, claiming that while he respects his work ethic, he can “see flaws in his game,” and that he could “really get him,” claiming he’d win by knockout. After causing an uproar from the crowd, Speed went on to state that if he were to train for six months, he’d be able to beat “any boxer in this world.” His hubristic statements earned him a response from Paul’s manager, who according to Dexerto, allegedy said his team is offering $20 million to make good on his words.
In an alleged Instagram post, Jake Paul’s manager, Nakisa Bidarian said “$10 million for him right now. Sign this week. If he beats Jake, he gets a $10 million bonus.” Paul himself also allegedly didn’t take Speed’s claims too seriously, saying: “Speed knows better. My guy was playing for sure.” Fans of both of the YouTubers didn’t hold back on the potential bout, claiming Speed was “delusional” and would definitely lose, or was otherwise solely in it for a payday. Given both YouTubers’ immense popularity, with IShowSpeed breaking a viewership record recently, the fight would certainly attract plenty of attention.
Jake Paul vs. IShowSpeed?
If the unlikely happens, and IShowSpeed actually follows through with challenging Jake Paul to a boxing match, it will hopefully end better for Speed than his last time in a ring. Earlier this year, the YouTuber made a surprise appearance at Wrestlemania 40 to promote Prime during the triple-threat match for the WWE United States Championship featuring Logan Paul, Randy Orton, and Kevin Owens. He eventually ended up arguing with Randy Orton, which at one point led to IShowSpeed getting RKO’d by Orton, the famous wrestler’s signature finishing move.
In addition to Jake Paul’s potentially brewing feud, his older brother Logan Paul appears to currently be having one, also with another popular content creator. After calling him a series of expletive-laden names for claiming Paul replaced his Prime drink with water in a YouTuber challenge video, Ludwig fired back at Logan Paul by bringing up several of Paul’s past controversies. While a boxing match to settle the beef is certainly unlikely between the two, perhaps Ludwig could appear during a WWE event, a la IShowSpeed.
