While completing the Through the Shadows quest in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, there will be a barrier blocked by a puzzle, stopping you from progressing to the final task of the quest. How To Get Past The Barrier In Through The Shadows Quest – Dragon Age: The Veilguard

Upon going through the portal and arriving at the next area, players will face a puzzle, preventing them from proceeding. To solve the puzzle in Dragon Age: The Veilguard, Rook must activate the five energy nodes by aiming a beam generator at each one. But, there are a couple of complications, like how there’s no way to reach the generators located on the right side of the room.

How To Solve The Barrier Puzzle In Dragon Age: The Veilguard – Through The Shadows Quest

Here’s how players can solve the beam generator puzzle and get past the barrier in Dragon Age: The Veilguard:

First, go left, ignore the energy crystal, and approach the beam generator (1) located on the bottom floor to aim it at the node in front.
Next, climb the ladder and aim the beam generator (2) at the node in front of it.

Afterward, follow these steps:

Go back down and take the energy crystal.
Head to the beam generator (3) located on the left side of the barrier.
Place the crystal on the node and aim the beam at the node above the entrance. This will create a bridge between the left and the right upper platform.

Once done with the three beam generators, do the following:

Head up using the same ladder and cross to the other side.
Interact with the beam generator (4) and aim it at the node.
Use the nearby stairs to reach the lower platform
Aim the beam generator (5) at the opposite node.

At this point, there should be one node left above the barrier.

Finally, take the crystal from the beam generator (3) and place it on the beam generator (6) situated on the right side of the barrier.

Now that all the nodes are activated, remove the barrier and proceed ahead to complete the Through the Shadows companion quest. Just keep in mind that you have to make a choice in Dragon Age: The Veilguard upon completing this quest.
