The Netflix live event was going off without a hitch for the first couple of matches, but it took a nosedive right before the fight between Katie Taylor and Amanda Serrano.
The first couple of hours of Netflix’s big Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson boxing event was working mostly fine, with the occasional dip in resolution and some technical difficulties for the commentators. Otherwise, it was working pretty well. That all changed within the last 10-15 minutes, as many have reported that their stream has crashed.

Thousands of Netflix users have taken to Down Detector to report that they are currently unable to watch the Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson livestream. Speaking from my own experience, the stream was working 100% fine until just recently, at which point it got stuck at 99% loading. I closed the app and reopened it, only for the stream to start about five minutes off from where it should be live. Repeated attempts then led to the stream starting over from the very beginning of the event. Trying to click the “Watch Live” button just makes the app load forever. It’s unclear exactly how widespread these issues are, but thousands of people have reported problems on Down Detector and counting.

Netflix has yet to acknowledge the problems on social media, but fans on various platforms have expressed their frustration at the live event’s technical difficulties. No reason for why Netflix is having problems right now has been given, but it can be safely assumed that an influx of people tuning in may be the problem. After all, there are like millions of people only interested in Jake Paul vs. Mike Tyson, and with that the next fight on the card, they may now be deciding to tune in.
