Follow these Planet Coaster 2 beginner tips to learn the basics of this deceptively complex theme park simulator game.
Of the four stats, Attraction Prestige is arguably the most difficult to increase. Park Reputation can be improved by improving Guest services, Scenery Rating is boosted from extra Scenery objects, and Attraction Variety just requires players to buy unique attractions. On the other hand, to increase Attraction Prestige, Planet Coaster 2players have to understand the sources of Prestige for Rides and how they can be affected by players’ customizations.
What Is Attraction Prestige In Planet Coaster 2?
The quality of attractions in your park.
Adding more prestigiuous rides helps to attract and impress guests.
Attraction Prestige is both a Park Rating metric and a measurement of your individual rides’ appeal. These two stats are intertwined – the total of your individual Attraction Prestige totals for each ride is the basis for your Park Rating Attraction Prestige rating. You can check an individual ride’s Prestige by clicking on it and looking at either the default Summary or Prestige tabs.In Planet Coaster 2, Ride Prestige is derived from the “appeal and value of an attraction” to Guests. Specifically, this is calculated from both the Ride Experience statistic a the Scenery Bonus that comes from surrounding Scenery. You can see your total Park Attraction Prestige in the Park Management menu, under the Park Rating tab. Highlight “Attraction Prestige” to find three stats: your earned Attraction Prestige Stars on the top-right, your current total Attraction Prestige that combines all individual Ride Prestige numbers, and the amount of Prestige you need to earn to get the next star for this Park Rating metric. As you increase your Ride Prestige, and therefore increase Attraction Prestige, Planet Coaster 2 guests will spend more money in your park. The more prestigious your park is, the deeper your guests’ pockets will become, so this is a good stat to try to increase if you want to increase profit fast.

How To Increase Attraction Prestige In Planet Coaster 2
A ride’s Prestige will naturally increase the longer it has been active as its Reputation advances. As rides age they become vintage, classic, iconic rides for your park, but eventually they will become Old and stop generating extra Prestige as Guests consider them outdated. Once a ride is considered Old, it’s worth considering replacing it to maximize your park’s Attraction Prestige.
Aside from a ride’s Reputation, which cannot be modified, there are two features you can influence to boost Attraction Prestige: Ride Experience and Scenery Bonus.
Increasing Ride Experience
Ride Experience is calculated based on the price point, queue time, and three ride stats (Excitement, Fear, Nausea), as well as the overall perceived value for money. As such, to increase Attraction Prestige, you must pay close attention to the metadetails of a ride and the specifics of its construction, for custom-made rides.
It doesn’t matter how long or elaborate your ride is – an extremely long and complex roler coaster will not score much higher than a well-designed, well-optimized Flat Ride.
The easiest way to improve the Guest perception of a ride’s price point is to enable Dynamic Prices. This will adjust prices from a low to high point based on popularity and queue times. If money isn’t an issue, you can always set the price to Budget (or make it free) for an easy boost to its Prestige and popularity.
To improve the Queue time, set rides to have the most number of cars possible, or only begin when all seats are filled. This will get more Guests onto the ride, and your queues shouldn’t suffer if you have Dynamic prices on. Shorter rides also generate less Prestige than long ones, though really lengthy rides can reduce the turnover and profit of a ride and contribute to long queues.

How To Make A Pool In Planet Coaster 2
A new feature in Planet Coaster 2, pools allow players to create water parks within their Theme Park, but you need to set them up correctly.
For Coasters and other custom-built rides, use the editor to smooth out rough edges and areas with high Gs, and try to make your rides as exciting as possible without inducing too much Nausea or Fear. If your Nausea or Fear stats are highlighted in Red, it means your ride won’t be attractive to a majority of Guests – if any at all.
How To Increase Scenery Bonus
The Scenery Bonus of a ride is the second stat that contributes to its Prestige. This stat is derived from the Scenery Score of all objects attached to the Scenery Group associated with your Ride. To add a Scenery object to your Scenery Group for the ride, select the object you want to add, then drag it over the ride to open the Scenery Group editor. Until you exit this group selection tool and the borders of the screen revert back to normal, all Scenery objects you add will be included in this attraction’s Scenery Bonus.
The Scenery Bonus is calculated at a rate of 1 bonus Scenery point for every 20 Scenery Score, and caps out at 500 Bonus Scenery points for each ride. Once you go above 10,000 Scenery Score for a ride, new Scenery objects will not contribute to the Scenery Bonus.
Almost all blueprint coasters, flat rides, and other Attractions come with a high Scenery Score, but if you need to increase the Scenery Score of a custom ride, open up the Custom Scenery menu within the Scenery tab. Make sure you click on the ride group that needs more Scenery, and get building.
Though the Ride Experience is certainly important, and can go well over 500 Prestige while Scenery Bonus is capped, but it can fluctuate and can be hard to maximize. The Scenery Bonus, on the other hand, only requires a few minutes’ time placing objects in the vicinity of your ride to get the max bonus, and you can easily bump up a ride’s Prestige by several stars just by pausing the game and decorating it.
