Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Bug Gives Player Three Weapons
Key Takeaways
- A Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 player experiences a bizarre bug that equips three weapons.
- The user was able to take two AK-74 assault rifles into a multiplayer game, along with their usual secondary pistol.
- Other players reveal they have experienced similar bugs, both in multiplayer and Zombies.
A bizarre and somewhat overpowered bug has allowed a Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 player to jump into a multiplayer match with three weapons equipped, two of which were primary weapons. While fans are loving Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, the latest shooter in the series has had its fair share of bugs since launch, with the latest leaving the community baffled.
Like many shooters in the live-service space, weapon balancing and continued adjustments are a top priority for developers to keep online matches on an even playing field. Thankfully, Treyarch Studios has already released multiple updates for Black Ops 6 since its release, squashing plenty of bugs and nerfing some overpowered weapons. While the game still has a few issues to be ironed out, such as in-game voice chat not working as intended, Season 1 is set to launch on November 14 and will hopefully bring a plethora of improvements along with it.

Black Ops 6 Bug Gives Player Three Weapons
Since its launch on October 25, players have seen a wide variety of bizarre Black Ops 6 bugs and glitches, but many have never seen one quite like this. Over on Reddit, user MikeTheMuton posted a screenshot of their custom loadout with two AK-74 assault rifles equipped, as well as a 9MM PM pistol. They noted that they had no idea how the bug had occurred, which seemingly replaced the dedicated melee slot with a second AK-74, but that it also allowed them to take the loadout in-game and use both assault rifles. Many joked that the player had unlocked the popular Zombies perk, Mule Kick, early.
Although this bug is one of the game’s rarer ones, this isn’t the first time a user has experienced a similar glitch. In response to the post, one user noted that the same thing happened to them in a multiplayer match, but with two baseball bats as opposed to two assault rifles. Another player also chimed in to say that they’ve had something similar occur in the shooter’s Zombies mode. While Call of Duty Zombies players can usually make use of the Mule Kick perk to equip three weapons, it is not currently one of Black Ops 6 Zombies’ available perks.
While fans found this specific bug to be somewhat entertaining, there have been plenty of frustrating glitches related to Black Ops 6‘s Gunsmith. Earlier this month, Treyarch deployed a new update that fixed a variety of issues, but unfortunately introduced a new bug that was removing players’ Optics from their weapons. Thankfully, the studio was quick to fix the issue and released a new hotfix update just a few hours later.
