LEGO Minecraft Sets to Get Hyped for the Jack Black Led Movie
For almost 13 years, Minecraft has been one of the most popular sandbox games on the market. Its approachable yet deep gameplay mechanics, bright and colorful visuals, and inherent creativity have kept Minecraft at the top of its genre, combining to make the game accessible and engaging for a wide variety of players.
Naturally, Minecraft‘s popularity has led to a wealth of merchandise being released over the years, and that includes a long partnership with LEGO. The very first LEGO Minecraft set debuted all the way back in June 2012, depicting a micro version of the game’s forest biome. Two years later, the first full-scale LEGO Minecraft set was released, depicting the hero Steve, a Zombie, and a Spider all exploring an underground cave. LEGO’s continued to release Minecraft-themed sets, and its latest wave should get fans in the mood for the upcoming live-action Minecraft Movie.

LEGO Minecraft – The Skeleton Dungeon
Approximate Retail Price: $34.99
One of LEGO Minecraft’s mid-range sets, The Skeleton Dungeon retails for $34.99, which seems pretty fair given the set’s 364-piece count and its four minifigures. The Skeleton Dungeon packs a lot of fun into its compact design, with it coming with two distinct play features. The first is a small lever that fans can turn to spin a Spawner in the center of the dungeon, and a rotating door at the back of the set, revealing a hiding skeleton in the wall. The other is another lever that sets off a rockslide, dropping two blocks on any unsuspecting mobs below.

Coming with 584 pieces, two minifigures, and a brick-built Warden, the LEGO Minecraft Deep Dark Battle set has plenty of references and Easter eggs for fans of the game to find. One of this set’s main play features sees fans wake the Warden from his slumber, rotating a lever at the side of the set to raise the Warden from the ground. Fans can also press a switch at the base of the Warden’s tower to blow it up, simulating the game’s TNT explosions.

LEGO Minecraft – The Ender Dragon and End Ship
Approximate Retail Price: $79.99
The latest in a long line of LEGO sets based on Minecraft‘s iconic Ender Dragon, this set includes the infamous boss once again, but it isn’t the main event this time around. Instead, a good portion of this set’s 657-piece count is actually spent creating the End Ship, a small purple boat that contains a small potion lab inside. Alongside the buildable Ender Dragon and End Ship, this set comes with an Ender Explorer and Ender Knight minifigure, and a tall Ender Man figure.

LEGO Minecraft – The Crafting Table
Approximate Retail Price: $89.99
One for all the collectors out there, the LEGO Minecraft Crafting Table was released as part of Minecraft‘s 15th-anniversary celebrations. In a similar vein to those original LEGO Minecraft microworld sets from 2012-2013, the LEGO Minecraft Crafting Table can be displayed so that it appears like an in-game Crafting Table, or turned to the side so that fans can see the diorama on the inside.
This diorama depicts a small Minecraft world, containing five miniature models that can displayed separately, each one depicting a different Minecraft biome. This set also comes with 8 microfigures, including Steve, Alex, a Creeper, a skeleton, and some wildlife. This set is the ideal pick for adult Minecraft and LEGO fans, with it coming with an impressive 1195 pieces.
