- For armor this week, Xur has Stronghold, Foetracer, and Ophidian Aspect.
- Alongside a new Hawkmoon roll, Xur’s weapons include Hard Light, Arbalest, and The Colony.
Xur has returned again to Destiny 2, complete with new exotic and legendary gear for players to check out for a limited time. The frustrating weapon perk weighting bug has finally been eliminated with this week’s update, putting an end to an issue where certain rolls just wouldn’t drop. As a way of saying thank you to the community, Bungie has planned a few things for players, including double drops with Vesper’s Host and free god rolls for all Destiny 2 players.
In terms of Episode Revenant, Bungie also announced a new Destiny 2 developer livestream for November 12. Similar to what the developer did during Episode: Echoes, players can get an early look at what’s coming in Act 2, including bits of narrative, all the new weapons and loot, as well as a deep dive into the upcoming activity as well. Plus, for those watching on Twitch, there’s an opportunity to unlock a special engram.

Bungie releases Update 8.1.0.4 for Destiny 2, fixing various issues including the frustrating weapon perk problem, while also making Crucible changes.
In the meantime, the weekend merchant Xur is back with a new inventory of exotics and legendary gear for Destiny 2 players. Follow this guide for his current weekend location, news on his exotic cipher quest, as well as a review of all the exotic and legendary gear he’s brought for the weekend of November 8, 2024.
Where is Xur?
Xur has now taken up permanent residence in the Bazaar area inside The Tower, so there’s no more hunting when the weekend comes around.
Since the Bazaar is located between both fast travel points, players can pick either one to load into. Head into the area where Ikora and Hawthorne are and look for the Ramen Shop towards the back wall. While facing the shop, the alley is to the right, where Xur is standing.
Destiny 2 Class Armor and Exotic Cipher
Xur’s role continues to offer the usual weekly quests, exotics, and legendary gear. Not only are these quests required to purchase a second fated engram, but they’re necessary to acquire legacy exotic gear from the Tower kiosk. Players can earn a new cipher by completing strikes and winning crucible or gambit matches. Gain bonus points for playing with clan mates or finishing more challenging activities.
Xur’s Exotic Armor
Ophidian Aspect – Warlock Gauntlets
Exotic Perk:
- Cobra Totemic – Weapons ready and reload very quickly. Provides a small benefit to the airborne effectiveness stat of all weapons.
This isn’t going to be an exotic for everyone, as the benefits are fairly uninspired compared to some of the more recent additions to the game. However, it’s really good at what it does and could make a good companion for activities like the Crucible where readying weapons and reload speed can be the difference between living or seeing the loading screen.
Stat Values (66 Total):
- Mobility +7
- Resilience +6
- Recovery +21
- Discipline +2
- Intellect +23
- Strength +7
Foetracer – Hunter helmet
Exotic Perk:
- Relentless Tracker – Damaging a powerful combatant or Guardian with an ability temporarily increases weapon damage of the same type. Defeating that marked target with damage that matches the element creates an elemental pickup.
While technically the lowest rolled exotic, this is also the only one that’s really worth investing in this week, especially for Crucible hunter players.
Stat Values (65 Total):
- Mobility +20
- Resilience +7
- Recovery +6
- Discipline +6
- Intellect +6
- Strength +20
Stronghold – Titan gauntlets
Exotic Perk:
- Clenched Fist – Maximizes guard stats on equipped Swords. You take reduced damage while blocking with a Sword. Rapidly damaging targets after blocking shots with a Sword grants restoration for a duration determined by the number of shots blocked.
This is a sword only exotic so it can be completely ignored otherwise. It’s also high in mobility, which isn’t a great stat for Titans, so buyer beware.
Stat Values (66 total):
- Mobility +16
- Resilience +8
- Recovery +12
- Discipline +10
- Intellect +6
- Strength +14

- Projection Fuse
- Composite Stock
Hard Light – Auto Rifle
- Volatile Light – Rounds fired from this weapon have reduced damage falloff, overpenetrate targets, and ricochet off hard surfaces. Projectile damage increases after bounce.
- The Fundamentals – Holding reload changes this weapon’s damage type, cycling between Solar, Arc, and Void. Grants different stats based on your selected damage type.
- Polygonal Rifling
- Alloy Magazine
- Composite Stock
The Colony – Grenade Launcher
- Insectoid Robot Grenades – This weapon’s grenades are insectoid robots that chase targets and explode close to them. Consumes tougher combatants to create additional robots.
- Serve The Colony – Insectoid robot grenades quickly repopulate the magazine from reserves while the Colony is unequipped.

- High-Velocity Rounds
- Composite Stock
