Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 players are calling for some of the series’ most iconic maps to make a return with future content updates, including Jungle, Berlin Wall, Firing Range, and many more. While Call of Duty: Black Ops 6‘s very first major content update is right around the corner, details on Season 1 are still sparse, but developer Treyarch has briefly given fans a glimpse at the three new maps coming with the shooter’s first season.
With the game’s first season set for November 14, Treyarch recently pulled back the curtain on three of the new maps coming to Black Ops 6 in Season 1. Hideout, Extraction, and Heirloom will all be brand-new 6v6 maps, with the latter also supporting 2v2 modes. While Black Ops 6 has been a massive success for publisher Activision and developer Treyarch, a major complaint has been surrounding the game’s lackluster multiplayer maps, so fans were ecstatic to see plenty of new options coming later this month.

Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Players Call for Iconic Maps to Return
Call of Duty fans have already discovered references to a World at War map within Black Ops 6, but now players are calling for a plethora of iconic maps to make a return. In a new Reddit post from CafecitoDulce, which has accumulated 7,000 upvotes at the time of writing, the user put forward Grid, WMD, Summit, Firing Range, Berlin Wall, Radiation, Kowloon, Array, and Jungle as the maps that should be remastered during Black Ops 6‘s life cycle. Given the huge amount of upvotes the post has received in less than 24 hours, it looks like the community agrees.
While some fans are all for classic Black Ops maps making a return, others believe Call of Duty developers shouldn’t rely so heavily on remasters every year. “I just hate how we always defer to classic and well designed maps. Why can’t they ever come out with potential new classics?” Reddit user StrawberrySuperb9229 said. Others, such as Lispro4units, said they would be “the happiest person ever” if numerous Black Ops 1 and 2 maps received their very own playlist in Black Ops 6.
So far, Treyarch has yet to confirm if any remastered maps will be included with Black Ops 6 Season 1, but the studio did tease even more maps for the mid-season update. Taking to Twitter, Treyarch said, “More maps coming mid-season, too” after revealing the three new maps coming with Season 1. But for those looking to get their fix before the game’s upcoming season, Treyarch did bring back one of Call of Duty‘s most iconic maps earlier this month: Nuketown. The popular multiplayer map, which first appeared in the original Black Ops, is available in-game now with its very own 24/7 playlist.
