Marvin the Martian Guide in Multiversus – Abilities, Perks, & More
In MultiVersus, Marvin the Martian is an Assassin class character with a vertical fighting style. While his projectile attacks are generally slow and quite easy to dodge, their long range helps to make up for this. In addition to this, his special attacks tend to have longer cooldown periods, but he has the strength to attack from multiple angles.
Marvin’s Passive ability enables him to Crouch while walking.
Marvin The Martian Ground Attacks
- Acme Bubble Blaster: Marvin charges, aims, and fires a bubble projectile that bursts directly in front of him. At full charge, the bubble will slowly travel in the direction fired. If an ally projectile collides with the bubble it will be suspended inside, unable to hit anything until the bubble expires. Enemy projectiles will be reflected. Cooldown applies for a fully charged bubble.
- Can be used to shield Marvin from incoming projectiles
- Centurian Scoot: Marvin scoots forward feet first, hitting enemies multiple times along the way.
- Martian Arts Training: Marvin delivers a combo with a punch and kick, ending in an arcing blaster projectile.
- Combo can be used to hit your opponent into the air
- Shoot The Moon: Marvin charges and aims a blaster projectile upwards.
- A-1 Disintegrating: Marvin fires a beam from his disintegration pistol in front of him that hits fighters and projectiles. Holding the input keeps the beam active, but Marvin will begin to take damage.
- Can be used to force an opponent back, and potentially off the stage.
Marvin The Martian Aerial Attacks
- Acme Bubble Blaster: Marvin charges, aims, and fires a bubble projectile that bursts directly in front of him. At full charge, the bubble will slowly travel in the direction fired. If an ally projectile collides with the bubble it will be suspended inside, unable to hit anything until the bubble expires. Enemy projectiles will be reflected. Cooldown applies for a fully charged bubble.
- Can be used to shield Marvin from incoming projectiles
- Cosmic Kick: Marvin kicks forward.
- Shoot The Moon: Marvin charges and aims a blaster projectile upwards, but Marvin’s directional aim is restricted.
- Can be charged to deal more damage and send enemies flying.
- A-1 Disintegrating Pistol: Marvin fires a beam from his disintegration pistol in front of him that hits fighters and projectiles. Holding the input keeps the beam active, but Marvin will begin to take damage. However, Marvin’s beam length will decrease over time, and he shoots downwards.
- Can be used to force an opponent back, and potentially off the stage.
Marvin The Martian Special Attacks
- K-62 Projectile Modulator: Marvin slams a big red button, hitting enemies and pausing, then reversing, the horizontal direction of all allied projectiles. On cooldown, projectiles are neither paused nor reversed.
- Can be paired with Marvin’s heavy rocket.
- Acme Space-Time Rifle: Marvin fires a projectile from his space-time rifle that will pull the first enemy it hits toward Marvin. Enemies will only be partially pulled toward Marvin if he is too far away. Cooldown applies.
- To Me, My Glorious Ship: Marvin shoots upward while playing his trumpet and summons his spaceship above. The spaceship acts as a platform. After being summoned, the spaceship will load and fire a powerful heavy rocket projectile toward Marvin. Enemies can damage the spaceship to destroy it and prevent it from firing its rocket.
- Combo can be used to hit your opponent into the air.
- …In The Name Of Mars: Marvin charges and plants a flag in the ground, claiming it for Mars and sending opponents skyward. Charging increases the size of the hit. The flag applies targeted to enemies, causing allied projectiles to home in toward them. The flag remains planted, acting as a hazard and applying targeted to enemies that pass by it.
- Can be used to put pressure on your opponent with targets, and set up follow-up options for your other moves.
