‘Sweethearts’ trailer: Kiernan Shipka and Nico Hiraga star in a Thanksgiving rom-com

Kiernan Shipka (Longlegs, Twisters) and Nico Hiraga (Booksmart, Moxie) make a breakup pact in the trailer for Max’s upcoming rom-com Sweethearts.

The two play best friends in their freshman year of college. Both have chosen to stay with their high school sweethearts, but as their long-distance relationships start to fray, these two realize they need a change. They decide to break up with their partners in-person at Thanksgiving, but of course, these plans swiftly go awry — especially since they may have feelings for one another. Time for a Turkey Day rom-com!

Sweethearts premieres on Max Nov. 28.
