Players should do their best to tame these particular horses in Red Dead Redemption.
That includes the length of the game, as nothing has fundamentally changed about the gameplay or world structure – and the RDR PC release comes with the Undead Nightmare DLC for free, too. Though it’s not quite as long as its sequel, players will have plenty of missions to complete and world to explore to fill out the Red Dead Redemption game story length.
How Long To Beat Red Dead Redemption
Red Dead Redemption is far from the longest game in Rockstar’s extensive catalogue, but it’s impressively engaging and lengthy for a 14-year-old title – especially if you are trying to 100% complete Red Dead Redemption.
The time it takes to beat Red Dead Redemption’s main story without taking on any side quests is about 18 hours. This includes all nearly-60 of the main story quests in the main game.
Including the main story missions added with the Undead Nightmare DLC, which takes about eight hours to beat, you can expect to finish Red Dead Redemption in around 25 to 30 hours if you almost exclusively focus on the main missions.
If you take on some side content and explore the world a bit, add on about ten hours to that total for the length of your Red Dead Redemption and Undead Nightmare playthrough.
