Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred Evade Spiritborn Build Guide
With the launch of the Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred DLC the sixth Diablo 4 class was added to the game. The Spiritborn class is incredibly mobile and plays almost like a mix between the Diablo 3 Monk class and the D4 Rogue classes in all of its builds – maybe with a little D4 Sorcerer thrown in there, too.

Almost every Spiritborn build is exceptionally strong in Diablo 4, but Evade Spiritborn are on another level. When performed correctly, the gameplay of the Diablo 4 Evade Spiritborn build is essentially a neverending loop of Evading and casting Quill Volleys, abusing the Storm Feathers mechanic, and using other Skills to boost damage even further while filling in the gaps.
Updated October 28, 2024 by Erik Petrovich: The Evade Spiritborn build D4 players can put together has received some nerfs since the launch of the Vessel of Hatred DLC and this much-anticipated new D4 class, but it’s still among the most broken builds in the game. By simply dodging around the map, with the right choices made while leveling up and in the endgame, you can all but instantly destroy anything in your path – bosses included. This guide to the best Evade build Spiritborn Diablo 4 players can make has been updated with information to get you on the right foot in the endgame with the best Evade Spiritborn Paragon boards and Glyphs. Refer to this new section when you reach Max Level to figure out how to spend Paragon Points as a D4 Spiritborn Evade build and which Glyphs suit each recommended Board the best.
Evade Spiritborn Build Overview
The Evade Spiritborn build in Diablo 4 is one of the most powerful builds available in Vessel of Hatred. Everything in this build is centered on two mechanics: The Eagle Spirit Hall choice, and making sure you can cast Evade as often as possible.
With The Eagle Spirit Hall choice, Spiritborn characters will launch Storm Feathers at enemies, inflicting the Vulnerable effect and causing an enormous amount of damage, every time they Evade. This Evade Spiritborn build uses a combination of abilities that reduce Evade’s cooldown and the Quill Volley skill, creating a hybrid movement and spellcasting playstyle that tears through all but the most difficult high-Torment content.
Because attacking with Quill Volley reduces the cooldown of Evade, you almost never have to press the Basic Attack input – as long as you have Vigor. With the new Runeword system in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, you can regain a huge chunk of Vigor every time you Evade.
You can mess with a few of the Aspects and Skills recommended for this build, but a few things are absolutely required. The Eagle Spirit Hall choice, boots that reduce Evade cooldown when you attack, and Aspects that enhance your Vigor and Storm Feather potency are necessary to make this build take off.

Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred – The Sacred Hunt Walkthrough
By completing the Sacred Hunt quest in Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred, a Spiritborn unlocks their unique class feature known as Spirit Hall.
With this, you deal a whopping 45% more damage against Vulnerable enemies, and when you inflict Vulnerable you regain 2% Life and 5 Vigor but remove the Vulnerable effect. This isn’t much of a downside, as you will be inflicting Vulnerable with practically every cast of your Quill Volley.
Best Spirit Hall Choices for Evade Spiritborn Builds
As a Spiritborn, you can choose between four of the Class Hall spirits to be your Primary and Secondary Spirit Guardians. The Primary Spirit Guardian and Secondary Guardian effects vary, but the Primary Spirit Hall choices tend to be more impactful.
For the Evade Spiritborn Build, The Eagle should be your primary choice. This grants a huge Movement Speed bonus when you use any Eagle Skill and launches Storm Feathers when you Evade, turning enemies hit Vulnerable. Plus, all of your skills become Eagle skills, enabling certain Aspects and abilities to proc much more often.
For your Secondary Spirit Guardian, Evade Spiritborn should also go with The Eagle, though The Jaguar is a viable secondary choice if you do not have the Aspect to take advantage of using the same Spirit for both choices. The Eagle will give you Crit Chance whenever you move a short distance, while The Jaguar allows you to build up Ferocity stacks, increasing Attack Speed and in turn increasing your Vigor generated to keep attacks going in between Evades.
