Black Ops 6 Zombies: How to Turn into a Mangler

Quickly becoming essential to the undead hordes, Manglers are a tough mini-boss that will certainly cause new players and veterans a hard time. However, it’s now time to fight fire with fire, as players can become a Mangler in Black Ops 6 Zombies.

Biggest Fan Theories & Conspiracies in the COD Zombies Community
The Call of Duty Zombies community is always filled with interesting theories and conspiracies as to what’s happening in the cryptic saga.
A Mangler might be a tad slow, and their arm cannon might make for an easy weakspot, but players who temporarily become this undead beast won’t have to worry about these things, as they will be too busy utilizing new power to crush any zombie that dares halt the progression of high rounds.
How to Become a Mangler in Black Ops 6 Zombies
If players want to experience first-hand what it would be like to become a Mangler in Call of Duty Zombies, then they need to acquire the Support Scorestreak, the Mutant Injection. The Mutant Injection is a rare find that usually drops from defeating Manglers, and can be found near their bodies along with other goodies like armor plates and ammunition. Here are all the ways we have been able to acquire a Mutant Injection:
- Killing Manglers
- Completing S.A.M. Challenges
- Opening safety deposit boxes in the bank vault in Liberty Falls
Alternatively, players can reach Level 39, and after that, they will be able to head to any Crafting Table on the map, enter the Support category, and purchase a Mutant Injection for 2,500 Salvage.
How to Use the Mangler in Black Ops 6 Zombies
Temporarily transforms you into a Mangler… with all the bells and whistles.
Now that players have their hands on the Mutant Injection, they may be curious to know what injecting this strange syringe will do. The Mutant Injection will turn players into unstoppable Manglers, and as soon as players select to use it with Down on the D-Pad or 3 on the keyboard, they will be invulnerable to all damage as they begin their transformation.
Players are then taken into the third-person camera perspective where they have the same character model as a Mangler, complete with their weaponry and strength. During this period, players are immune to damage and have a pretty generous timer found in the bottom left of the screen indicating how long until they change back. Don’t worry about swarms of zombies when changing into a regular survivor, as a blast will deal with the horde to allow players time to regain their footing.
In Mangler mode, players will have an infinite-ammo Mangler Cannon that they can charge up and use to auto-target specific enemies or just shoot through the hordes by holding and releasing R2/RT/Left-Click. The Mangler Cannon’s blast will easily pierce multiple zombies at once, and each kill will provide them with 50 Essence. Players can also use their sprint button (L3/Shift) to charge into zombies, and the bulky speed of the Mangler will cause players to kill zombies with the weight and speed of a train. The Mutant Injection is best used for situations when players are surrounded or in danger of going down, as it’s not the best at killing other Manglers and Abominations, but it gives a decent window of invulnerability to withstand damage and deal it out.
