Asmongold is Cleaning His House

Twitch streamer Zack “Asmongold” Hoyt is finally cleaning his house after years of sharing photos of his messy space. Asmongold is known for his gaming streams and controversial comments, which have led him to receive multiple Twitch bans.

Recently, Asmongold’s alt Twitch account, Zachrawrr, was banned after he made racially charged comments about the ongoing conflict in Palestine. During the stream, he called Palestinians “an inferior culture,” and hammered down to say that he didn’t empathize with the overwhelming civilian casualties in the country. Twitch then banned Asmongold’s account for violating the platform’s Terms and Conditions. The streamer later apologized for his actions, and announced that he was stepping away from his roles in OTK and Starforge Systems.

With Asmongold reportedly banned for 14 days, he’s apparently using the time away to clean his house. Many of his fans and followers know that he often jokes about the messy state of his house, even showing photos of the trash and dirt littered around his streaming area, among other disturbing sights throughout the years. In a tweet, Asmongold shared before-and-after photos of his dirty dishes and a clean kitchen counter and sink, which many people considered to be a big deal already.

Although Asmongold only shared photos of what he did with his dirty dishes, many people, including his fans and peers from the streaming space, seemed to be celebrating this milestone. OTK’s Esfand teased in the replies that Asmongold may be making significant progress with his house cleaning, while others encouraged the streamer to take the job one step at a time. Meanwhile, many also continued to joke about Asmongold’s dirty home, like OTK’s Tectone saying that the streamer’s house causes 99.9% of Austin’s air pollution problems.

As of writing, Asmongold hasn’t shared updates on his house cleaning, but his fans might see the fruits of his labor. It will especially be noticeable once he starts streaming again because the mess in his room has been visible for a while.

Meanwhile, it’s still unknown if Asmongold will turn a new leaf and become more careful with his comments once his alt account, Zachrawrr, gets reinstated. But considering his streak of controversy despite getting banned on Twitch multiple times, many people aren’t holding their breath for a possible rebrand. There’s also the possibility of Asmongold moving to a different platform like Kick, but he previously said that it’s not in his plans.
