As a live-service game, Overwatch 2 brings new events, hero cosmetics, limited-time modes, mechanics, hero reworks, Battle Passes, and shop bundles with each new Competitive Season that arrives. Every Competitive Season that goes live in Overwatch 2 has a unique seasonal theme, which is reflected in certain game modes, map changes, hero cosmetics, and challenges.

As Overwatch 2’s Season 13 kicked off midway through October 2024, it’s no surprise that the return of the annual Halloween Terror event has arrived alongside it. In Season 13: Spellbinder, Halloween Terror has brought back the iconic Junkenstein’s Revenge and Wrath of the Bride game modes, Halloween map variants, a brand new limited-time game mode titled Junkenstein’s Laboratory, and of course, a new set of Halloween-themed challenges. Mythic Aspects are a new item introduced in Overwatch 2’s Season 13, giving players another series of collectibles to work toward.

All Halloween Terror Event Challenges and Rewards in Overwatch 2 Season 13

In Overwatch 2, the Halloween Terror event began when Season 13 launched on October 15, 2024. The challenges will be available for all players to complete until the event ends on October 30, 2024, meaning players have fifteen days total to work their way through the requirements.

There are six different Halloween Terror event challenges in total, all themed around the new Junkenstein’s Lab game mode. For this reason, players can only achieve progress by playing this game mode, which involves selecting a hero from a small pool of characters and creating a build from a randomly pulled hand of ability cards called Mutations. As each round concludes, players will have the chance to add new Mutations to their build swap old ones out for a new combination to build synergy with their teammates, or try and establish a counterplay strategy against the opponent.

Completing the Junkenstein’s Lab challenges will reward players with significant boosts of Battle Pass XP, as well as a unique Player Title that can only be earned through this opportunity.
