Epic Games Store Update Adds Big Subscription Service

The Epic Games Store has added the EA Play subscription service. Gamers know the Epic Games Store for its big sales and specials, and free game giveaways, which offer gamers an alternative to Steam for purchasing and enjoy their games on PC.

The gaming industry has been living in the era of subscription services for a few years now, with EA Play being one of the prominent names. Launched in 2020 after the revamp of EA Access, Electronic Arts’ subscription service gives players a variety of benefits on a monthly basis. The latest update to the Epic Games Store has added EA Play, which is now available as a monthly subscription for just $0.99 USD, with subsequent months going up to $5.99 USD, and the annual subscription for $39.99. Through the subscription, players have unlimited access to Electronic Arts’ library of games, including popular titles such as Mass Effect, Mirrors Edge, and Dragon Age: Inquisition. Other perks include unlocking in-game rewards, and a 10% discount on EA’s digital purchases, such as full games, Season Passes, point packs, and even pre-orders and expansions.

EA Play Expands and Is Now Available Via Epic Games Store

The Electronic Arts service also includes game trials, and players who subscribe via the Epic Games Store will have the chance to play EA Sports FC 25 Standard Edition, EA Sports WRC 24, EA Sports Madden NFL 25, and F1 24. Subscribers who play a game trial and eventually buy the full title can carry their progress over and continue from where they left off. It’s also important to note that if gamers subscribe to EA Play through the Epic Games Store, their access to the game catalog, discounts, and benefits will be linked to the platform.

Among the EA Play games available via Epic Games Store are standout names such as A Way Out, the co-op prison break starring Leo and Vincent. For fans of fantasy adventures, there are options such as both Unravel games, Fe, and Alice Madness: Returns. Gamers who prefer more adrenaline-oriented action will be able to check out titles such as Battlefield 4, Titanfall 2, and the Star Wars games released by EA, including the big hit Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order.
