Elden Ring Fan Shares Stunning Art Deco Travel Posters

An Elden Ring fan has been working hard designing a series of striking Art Deco-styled travel posters based on some of the game’s memorable locations. Elden Ring’s map is made up of vast regions, dungeons, catacombs, tunnels, and caves, with six main areas for players’ Tarnished to explore. Each region has its own set of unforgiving challenges, but these travel posters certainly make the locations more appealing to visit.

Winning Game of the Year in 2022, the action RPG was a breath of fresh air for Soulslike enthusiasts and fantasy lovers alike, boasting rich world-building from the minds of Hidetaka Miyazaki and Game of Thrones creator George R.R. Martin. The game is notorious for its painstaking boss battles featuring nightmarish enemies, with some fans believing that Elden Ring’s Radahn is the perfect blueprint for terrifying bosses in FromSoftware’s future titles.

Posted on Reddit by aylameridian, six travel posters designed in the Art Deco style were shared with the Soulslike community. The locations brought to life in the line-up included Gravesite Plain, Caelid, Ainsel, Leyndell, Liurnia of the Lakes, and Limgrave. Areas like Shadow of the Erdtree‘s Gravesite Plain has a roster of arduous bosses, but these punishing areas seem rather appealing to visit thanks to the fan’s stunning artwork, and each poster was fictionally produced by the “Tarnished Advisory Committee” or the “Lands Between Tourism Board.” Thankfully, the artist has an INPRNT store selling the prints, so fans can display these stunning creations in their homes or gift them as unique Christmas presents.

Suffice it to say, Soulslike Redditors were very impressed by the artwork, and amateur artists were keen to learn the Art Deco technique. The artist explained they researched Japanese woodblock prints and worked with a limited color palette to hone the style. Additionally, several users highlighted the Caelid poster tagline, saying, “This Place Sucks,” and applauded the artist for advertising the truth. Elden Ring’s Caelid is a perilous region with heavyweight bosses, but more hardcore gamers hold this area in high regard as they are always up for the challenge.

The sprawling regions in the Lands Between are eye-catching for various reasons, one being how beautiful they are shrouded in the game’s dark fantasy aesthetic. One Elden Ring fan made a low-poly version of the map to showcase the world’s distinct sectors, including the towering Raya Lucaria Academy. Still, players will also remember the Siofra River underground region, a major area hiding beneath the vast surface-level locations.
