diablo 4 accursed touch description

The Accursed Touch Aspect was one of the new legendary effects introduced in the second season of Diablo 4. Lord Zir and his vampire cronies’ reign of blood may be over, but Legendary Aspects like this one can still give players a taste of what vampiric powers were like back then.

This may not necessarily be the strongest of the Offensive Legendary Aspects in Diablo 4, but it definitely has its uses. Here’s how you can get this Aspect, as well as some tips on how it works and how to adjust your build around it.

As of Season 6, the only way to get the Accursed Touch Aspect is to find a Legendary item that already has it. With that said, you’re bound to get it eventually. Farming Helltides and clearing The Pit are two of the best ways to farm Legendary items in Diablo 4, and we highly recommend trying them out once you’re strong enough.

Once you find an item with Accursed Touch, you can dismantle that item to save the Aspect in your Codex of Power. From that point on, you’ll be able to imprint Accursed Touch on any item that supports Offensive Legendary Aspects, such as gloves, rings, and weapons.

How Does Accursed Touch Work?

Accursed Touch's homing souls in Diablo 4

The first part of this Legendary Aspect gives you a chance to inflict Vampiric Curse on Lucky Hit. This makes affected targets Vulnerable, making them take additional damage based on your Vulnerable Damage stat.

The second part lets you store the souls of enemies killed while affected by Vampiric Curse. You can store up to 8 souls, and when you cast a Defensive, Macabre, or Agility Skill, all stored souls will be unleashed, and they will run up to enemies and explode. The more souls you’ve stored, the stronger their damage will be. Soul stacks only affect soul damage.

Is Accursed Touch Worth Using?

Yes. Accursed Touch’s value comes from its ability to inflict the Vulnerable status when you score a Lucky Hit in Diablo 4. It’s especially useful for builds that don’t have any built-in Vulnerable applicators, and it offers a ton of flexibility for builds that need Vulnerable application. If you’re ever looking for a way to make enemies Vulnerable, then Accursed Touch should be on your list of options.

One good example of a build that can use Accursed Touch is the Centiped Scourge build for the Spiritborn. You’ll constantly be stacking souls and applying Vulnerable with this build, and since Scourge counts as a Defensive Skill, you’ll also be unleashing souls fairly frequently. Admittedly, the souls themselves don’t do much damage, but since you’re already melting healthbars away with Poisoning, soul explosions will help finish low-health enemies off.
