HBO Max Offering Free Trial to Amazon Prime Subscribers
If you purchase an independently reviewed product or service through a link on our website, Variety may receive an affiliate commission.
Despite Max hiking prices for its ad-free plans in July, the streamer is now offering a 7-day free trial through Prime Video.
In order to access the free trial, you’ll have to sign up for an Amazon Prime account (which also offers a 30-day free trial). If you already have a Prime account, you can just sign in and add on a Max account free of charge. Once the week-long trial ends, the ad-supported Max subscription add-on will resume at its typical $9.99/month.
There’s never been a better time to add a Max subscription to your Prime Video streaming arsenal. Max has an exciting lineup of can’t-miss new releases for the rest of 2024, including the Colin Farrell-led Batman spin-off “The Penguin,” which just premiered this week.
Returning favorites this year also included the new season of “Industry,” just renewed for a fourth season, “My Brilliant Friend,” which just returned for its fourth season this week and “Chimp Crazy,” the most recent docuseries on everyone’s lips.
Max also has dozens of award-winning films on its roster, including “Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga,” “Horizon” and “Dune,” in addition to beloved shows such as “The Sopranos,” “The Wire” and “Curb Your Enthusiasm.”
