Marketing and communications agency DDA has hired live broadcasting and content production veterans Richard Adamson and Louis Kemsley as it launches a live content division in its London office.

Previously at Sassy+, Adamson and Kemsley join DDA as director and content director, respectively, and have been brought on board to spearhead the fast-growing company into the content production sector.

The pair bring with them more than 30 years of combined experience, having produced over 500 high-profile live events for numerous major brands, including every major studio and streaming platform. Alongside major word premiere red carpets, Adamson and Kemsley have produced luxury car launches, live-to-cinema concerts and corporate events. In addition to their live broadcast expertise, they have crafted numerous branded content films.

“We have worked alongside Richard and Louis on many events over the years and have long been admirers of their skill and dedication in making every piece of work the very best that it can be for their clients,” said DDA president Neil Bhatt on behalf of the DDA Board. “The ability to produce premium content is an increasingly important element in our campaigns, and in Richard and Louis we have the best practitioners in the business. We are extremely proud to now call them colleagues, and look forward to seeing how they grow this exciting new arm of DDA both in the U.K. and globally.”

The launch of DDA’s live content division, which will include live event production, social media content production and design and creative capabilities, comes at a time of rapid expansion for the agency. Last year it moved into bigger premises in London to accommodate its growing number of staff, while this year it opened its first office in New York, led by Dan Salerno, to complement its existing U.S. office in LA. It also recently hired well-respected publicity and awards veteran — and BAFTA deputy chair — Julie La’Bassiere as chief strategy officer, plus Media Molecule and Bandai Namco alumnus Gemma Cooper as director of gaming.

“Our mission is to elevate DDA’s service offerings by delivering premium content creation and live broadcast solutions,” said Adamson and Kemsley. “We are passionate about providing exceptional value to both new and existing clients and fostering innovation across the communications business. With a focus on growth, our goal is to set new standards in the industry, ensuring every project exceeds expectations and drives success.”
